Shooter Jennings Saves the Day...

Who knew?

I didn't feel well when I got up this morning. Maybe it was the early morning thunderstorms, or maybe it was waking up AGAIN to gray skies. This is the midwest, during the late spring it's supposed to be sunny when you wake up and rain at night!

Anyway, I got up and for once, I watched CMT. I haven't been paying much attention to any television, let alone CMT, because I prefer the radio. I mean, I hear more than 3 songs on the radio at a time--of course I'll prefer radio over tv. Anyway, back to my story, I was about to turn off CMT when on came the video for Shooter's 4th of July. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this song. I don't know why, either. I think one reason is the video. It's so 70ish. I'm sure if I had been alive during the 60's-70's I would have been one of those hippie people like in the video. Peace, Love and Understanding, Baby! But, I also love the beat and lyrics. It's so, well, old country.

Anyway, I got a second wind after watching that. I ate leftovers from last night and I made it over to the bookstore--6 books and $84.27 later (they were used books, thank goodness)-- I finally attempted my workout. I'm all showered up and ready to hit the rest of my last day of vacation.
