Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dude, it is COLD outside. I should have come back to my place yesterday while it was still a balmy 45 degrees, but I got talked into one more night at my parent's house. So, alas, I come home tonight in like 15 degree weather, while the temperature is still going down, down, down. And it's going to get worse before it gets better (Man, I'm starting to sound like my parents.) This coming week the highs are going to average like 10 and the lows are to be below zero! After the past few days being in the 40's and 50's I'm going to turn into an Iowa Popsicle!
I ate way too much over break, and know I'll be paying for Monday when I head to the gym.
I took one of those Career Interest Inventory and it told me I should either be a writer, journalist or teacher. Ok, well, I am all of those three things. Great, that really helps me figure out what I want to do!!
In other news... I decided to bring up the subject of grad. school to my mom again over break. She freaked out the last time, so I waited as long as possible, and since my aunt was up today, I waited until we were all around the table to bring it up. You know what? My aunt was okay with the idea (but she still wants to know why I decided against law school) so my mom is now okay with the idea. Ugh, that woman, I swear. The only thing my mom said was that she hoped I would be able to finanically carry myself. And for some odd reason she thinks that Vermillion, S.D. (home of USD) is really far away, and it's not. It's about 40 minutes from Sioux City. Now, I just need to get those applications in! I'm hoping to get a TA spot so I can get my MA in English in about 2 years for super cheap, otherwise I'll just take summer and night classes to get credit. Then it's off for the Ph.D.!
