It all Changed My Life

Book
That changed my life: The Outsider's--Enough said.
That I couldn't live without: Anything by Jane Austen. She's my favorite author and when I'm feeling bad, I just whip out a book and read a chapter or two and I'm all better.
That I could do without: The Thorn Birds--I got into so much trouble for reading that book in 8th grade!
Guilty pleasure:Harry Potter, Mary Higgins Clark, and (I'm so embarrassed) Bodice Rippers

Movie
That changed my life: The Karate Kid I figured out that if I was going to get something done, I would have to do it my way... that's good considering I was 7 when it came out!
That I couldn't live without: Dumb and Dumber--No matter what funk I'm in, that can get laughs out of me.
That I could do without: Ghost--I hate that movie-- it scared the beJesus out of me! Heck, I can watch The Ring and it doesn't even bother me, but if someone even suggests watching Ghost I freak out!
Guilty pleasure:Dirty Dancing, Sweet Home Alabama, Speed

Event/Memory
That changed my life:
When I decided to take over the college newspaper The Hermes.
That I couldn't live without: Graduating from college!
That I could live without: My brother Aron's accident, and him being lifeflighted, spending one month in the hospital and 2 more months in rehab.
Guilty pleasure: Laying in bed listening to the birds or music on a bright sunny morning.

Music
That changed my life:
Garth Brook's The Dance -- I just remember thinking: Man, someday I have to die?!
That I couldn't live without: Anne Murray, Garth Brooks, Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton, Dierks Bentley... anything blue grass or country
That I could do without: HERMAN AND THE HERMITS... geez, my parents took me to that concert when I was like 9 and I refused to go to another concert until the Dierks Bentley one a couple of weeks ago.... also, I dislike a lot of rap and some hip-hop.
Guilty pleasure: Peter, Paul and Mary, Barry Manilow, Alanis Morisette, Matchbox 20

Person
That changed my life:
Two of my social studies teachers in high school, Mr. Hardy and Mr. Meyer. They both beleived in me and told me to fight to be who I am.
That I couldn't live without: I suppose as a whole, my family. They did help shape who I am. Oh, and Leah, because she and I read each other's minds. Oh, and Jeff, he's the one who I argue with over politics and... you know this list could go on forever!
That I could do without: I'm a lover, not a hater. But I'll have to venture it to be my mom's real father.
Guilty pleasure:
OH HELLO-- right now it's that hot 40-year-old guy in the mall in Sioux City.
