Sunshine Finds Perks

The great thing about being close to the good state (aka Iowa) is that Council Bluffs has a lot of concerts as their casinos. That being said, Miranda Lambert is going to be playing on July 28 in Council Bluffs. Unfortunately, that's the same night that Craig Morgan is going to be playing in Lincoln (which is now about an hour away from me--no more 3-4 hour car rides!) and I'd really like to go see him as well. However, the friend I'm going with, Stacie (with whom I met at work), really wants to go and see Miranda, so that's probably where I'll end up.

What really irks me is that Stacie gets to go to the Sawyer Brown concert after the baseball game, and I have to go to my parent's house that night for a family reunion. I tried the "screw you family" thing, but it was not received well. So, I'll miss that concert.

I am super-stoked though, that there seem to be a couple of great performers playing in the Nebraska/Iowa area that are within driving range. For instance, Jack Ingram will be here, as will Mark Chestnutt, Dwight Yoakam and Hot Apple Pie. I really wish Gary Allan was playing with someone else, but since he's with Rascal Flatts I'm not going to see him.

I'm so happy! Although I like a lot of the bands I used to see up in Verm, they were all local and did cover songs. Now, I can pick and choose what I want to see! YeeHaw!
