plunge and went to a salon (ok a salon that is training hair stylists) and fixed my hair from my last trip to a stylist up in SD. No longer am I the girl with bright red and blonde streaks in her long walnut-colored hair, but I'm the girl with soft caramel-colored highlights in her medium-length dark-chestnut colored hair. (I like the first picture, but I forgot the flash on my camera-phone, so the second picture shows the high lights much better.)I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE being so close to my natural color again. :) Plus, it's super professional.
But, most of all...the cut and two colorings (1: highlights 2: cover up those red streaks) PLUS a bottle of both shampoo and conditioner to keep my curly hair nice and frizz-free were less than $90.00--oh and did I mention the salon is less than 6 minutes away from my apartment?
Rock on.
However, since it was a teaching salon, it took nearly 5 hours to get everything completed. BUT, damn it, I saved a lot of money and I no longer have those stupid low-lights that my old stylist put in the last time. Oh, and I don't have to return for about 8-10 weeks. :)
