So-Called Home

Well, I'm getting used to calling Nebraska home, I suppose. I've been here for a week and have not gotten myself lost yet, even though I've gone on a couple interviews and met a friend for breakfast this morning! Even when I've made wrong turns, or whatnot, I've been able to find my way back without panic. That's definitely an upgrade. However, I still don't like being the middle of a large city. I can always hear traffic and there's SO MANY people.

I'm hanging up pictures, which is one of the last things we have left to do besides wait for one more bookshelf (from my mom) to get here. And, the great thing is that the church that's down the hill from us is a Catholic church, so I have no excuse not to go. I can roll out of bed and roll down that hill into a pew. Waka waka waka.

However, I do miss South Dakota. I miss the people (minus the evil roommate who stole two of my exercise DVD's and the cable to my television--which ticks me off. That TV was plugged into cable when she arrived, so it obviously wasn't hers. And, no, the police have never gotten back to me.) the most. My friend Jess had to drop her brother off at the airport in Omaha today, so I went and got breakfast with her! SWWWWWWWWWWEEEET! And, we talk on the phone almost every day.

That might change though. I seem to have gotten myself into a part-time summer job!
