TGIF

Today is going so much better than the rest of the week has. And, it's FRIDAY! That means classes start in 4 days! I'm excited, for 3 of my classes, but my Shakespeare course has me down in the dumps.

See, I was taking Shakespeare's comedies with my favorite professor, who is also my advisor, and was planning on doing my MA thesis on The Women in Shakepeare's Tragedies. However, my favorite professor was critically injured in an accident over the summer and I just found out yesterday that he won't be back this semester (only because I walked over there and asked why my eSchedule was different than my paper one--they didn't tell any of his advisees he wouldn't be back). Now, this isn't a huge problem with the thesis, because it's not due until the end of next April, but I wanted to get a head start. Plus, there's another professor teaching the comedies course, and I don't know how I feel about that. And, who am I supposed to talk to about applying for my Ph.D. when I apply to Nebraska and here in South Dakota? Right now I really don't have an advisor that knows a lot about my program of study.

But, I'm alive. He's alive, and everyone I love is alive. I'll survive this, I know I will, it's just frustrating.

And, one of these days I'll finally get around to writing about my vacation to the Black Hills. I'm just very frustrated right now. (I think my therapist would be proud of me, I'm saying how I'm feeling!)
