February 10th, 2004

All week I kept on thinking that the 10th was some special anniversary. Tonight, I looked it up. It was one year ago on February 10th that I had my Triple Phase Bone Scan.

I remember sitting on the bed watching the scan and watching the white specks show where my ankle had been fractured at. I had both a medial and lateral stress fracture that turned into complete fractures.

I look back on that today and smile.

The pain I have now is minimal. The only reason I'm not sleeping now is because of my bouts of insomnia that I've had my entire life. I don't bawl because of the pain, and I can do almost anything I want--just as long as a stretch out VERY good before exercising and keep my orthotics in my shoes.

And, my life is in a much better place. I'm happy! Dr. Pike was very good with me over the entire 8 months during treatment for the fractures and she even encouraged me to go back to school. She was a great addition to my life in many ways.

Just like all of you!
