Odd...

When you're a student, you want snow days. When you're a teacher, you want snow days. When you're a sister living at home with her school age brother, you want school.

It probably wouldn't be so bad if, say, the snow days wouldn't be occurring right after Christmas break, if he and I hadn't seen each other for awhile, if we lived in a larger town, or if I had been able to watch ALIAS tonight. But, that's not so. (Even the ALIAS part, stupid ABC had to air a stupid Hawkeyes games instead... I'm a Cyclone girl... so I can't watch ALIAS until Saturday night.) He and I have been bickering off and on about stupid stuff, such as changing a television station during a commercial.

Amazingly, it's still snowing (it's been snowing since 2 p.m. Tuesday) and it's supposed to snow until around 6 a.m. Plus, we have strong wind blowing all the fluff around. Not to mention, it's slicker than snot because of ice we recieved before the storm. Brother already has a two-hour late start, but I wouldn't be surprised if school were cancelled tomorrow. Great, more bickering and me being *patient* for sure.

How am I getting through the insane bickering going on?
  • I'm packing.
  • I'm watching season 1 of ALIAS on DVD.
  • The Girls.
  • Music on my laptop.

  • Speaking of music. I'm totally in love with CCRW's new single, Alabama. I've been listening to the new version Constantly. Pun intended.

    Artist/Band: Cross Canadian Ragweed
Lyrics for Song: Alabama (New Version)
    Lyrics for Album: Soul Gravy

    She picked up the telephone
All she heard was dial tone
She really thought she heard it ring this time
She said what am I thinking I must be only dreaming
Or maybe it’s the hundred times he’s crossed my mind
    Just tonight

    (Chorus)

She said maybe I miss your lovin’
Maybe I miss your kiss just a little bit
Maybe I miss your body lyin’ right next to mine
Maybe I miss your touch a little too much

Tossing and turning her skin's still burning
From the fire in his hands
Runnin’ on empty, she needs somebody
    But somebody wouldn’t understand
    Then the telephone rings

    (Chorus)

    They talked about Savannah
    Sweet home Alabama
And how he missed the way she always smiled
    Are you coming back soon
    By the Harvest moon
If I have to walk every mile on my knees

    (Chorus)

I already have homework..can you believe it? Class doesn't start until next week, but I already have homework...I LOVE IT!
