Blast from the Past

I got up around 8:00 this morning and since the parents don't have cable, I had to settle for classic network programming. I'm flipping channels when I come across a show called "Endurance" on NBC. I'm like, "Wow, this looks cool," because kids had to actually use their brains and compete to stay on the show, so I watch. I notice something familiar about the host, but can't put my finger on it... until it finally hits me.

About halfway through the show I'm like, "That's JD Roth!" He used to host a kiddie game show called "Funhouse" when I was in upper elementary school. My friends and I all thought he was the hottest thing since sliced bread...and he's still not too shabby today. It's good to know another generation is (probably) ogling him.

And IMO has Gwenyth Paltrow lost her mind? Naming her kid Apple? The poor torment that girl is going to go through. (My parents were so nice to give me a boys name for my first name, plus it rhymes with WAY too many words, so I know it's not fun to have a unique name.) Where's mom going to be when some kid teases her daughter saying, "You're the Apple of my eye."

Oh, the things I find to amuse me! =)
