It's Not Going to Hurt Much...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
...Or so the doctor says.
I went to the outpatient hospital today (during a freaking snow storm!) to see my podiatrist. She was nice enough to meet me there, considering the weather, but I did take the day off. I have some great news and some not so great news...
Great News: Ankle stress fracture is healing! It looks like I will always have a big bump on the right ankle, but you know what... that's just cosmetic. I would rather be feeling great than worry about how something looks.
Not So Great News: After about 6 x-rays and an hour at the hospital I'm in a boot cast. They're not sure what is wrong with my foot, but they're guessing broken bones in the first metatarsal (ball of the foot.) I have to schedule a bone scan with my podiatrist for sometime in the near future. Then, I may have to set up an MRI to check the bones. When she was telling me this, I kept on rubbing my forehead (which still hurts, damn it) and she said, "We're not going to hurt you, well, today anyway. And it's not going to hurt... much."
Thanks-- that helps a lot. I really don't know much more until the bone scan. Now, I have to go to physical therapy even though I don't know what's up with my foot.
Great... more money down the drain. I wanted to see Dierks Bentley in concert again with the girls... heck the way I'm going I won't ever make it to another concert. No money=no fun.
And, yes, I know there are many worse things that could happen to me, but it just seems like I've been dealing with this forever (well, maybe not forever, but since September.) I just want answers as to why I keep on injuring it and why it keeps on fracturing in different places.
