I Need an Office
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yeah, I do need an office! I had a crap load of tests to grade, since semester tests were today and I don't have a place in my tiny house to have an office. Heck, I barely have a bedroom-- it doesn't even have a door! So, I think I'll try and rearrange my living room to make my tiny desk more teacher friendly, because I need a lot of space when I grade, or else I might go and get a nice desk and put it in my bedroom, next to my vanity. It doesn't matter if it's cluttered, no one comes here anyway. But, hey, my grading is done. Wish I had brought more home with me as I still have projects to grade!
Well, I learned something today that I wish I hadn't. If I don't get my full teaching license this year--which I won't lie, is a possibility due to classroom management--I can't really go to graduate school, because I could never get a teaching license in Iowa again without completing that third consecutive year of teaching and going for the full license (if I would get it.) I didn't really think of that when I decided to apply for grad. school. Crap. Now, I really want to go, too.
I was thinking about that. I had decided from a young age that I wanted to be an academic. Hey! From the time I was 4 I have been in school in some form, so it feels natural to me... and I always thought I would get my Ph.D. Although, part of that was to torque off my parent's who think that Dr's are people with M.D.'s only. But, I want to do this for me, because that's what I want. Now, I may have to choose, or wait another year.
But, I believe God has a plan for me, and He always works everything out for a reason!
